The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has signed a Data Sharing Agreement (DSA) with the Department of Finance (DOF) to strengthen transparency and accountability in the extractive sector through the Philippine Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (PH-EITI).
The deal enhances access to beneficial ownership data of companies in line with global standards, supporting efforts to combat corruption, illicit financial flows, and tax evasion.
This milestone follows the Philippines’ exit from the FATF grey list and reinforces good governance, public trust, and sustainable development in the management of natural resources.
