It is an intergovernmental organisation initially set up by the League of Nations in 1926. At the occasion of their 100 years in 2026, enjoy reading my summary article initially written for the Tulane Journal of International and Comparative Law Vol. 28 No. 2 (2020) page 193-257 on “Bridge over Troubled Waters for International Commercial Contracts—The UNIDROIT Principles 2016, An Overview from a Long Time User”.
